Overseas Adventure Travel Serengeti Tanzania Lodge Tented Safari – Africa is a country rich in amazing culture, beautiful scenery and fabulous wildlife roaming in its natural habitat. There is nowhere greater on the continent than Tanzania which shows the best of all of the things within the one country, that is why Tanzania is the ultimate safari destination.

Tanzania’s National Parks & Game Reserves

The Serengeti is an amazing National Park to see a great mixture of wildlife in a variety of different habitats, but all in the same park. This is because the surroundings of the Serengeti change rapidly from swamp to woodland to grassy plains within a matter of minutes.

If you are looking to visit a real special park, then the Ngorongoro Crater is the place to visit. This large caldera is filled with bundles of wildlife, including the extremely rare black rhino which remains preserved by the 2,000 feet high walls which surround the crater floor. Whilst standing up on these walls, or the rim as it is often referred to as, you get an amazing panoramic view of the crater and its surroundings.

If you are looking to spend quite a few days on safari Tanzania in one park and not see any other vehicles for the duration of your safari, then Selous Game Reserve sounds like the place for you. This giant park takes days to navigate through, and is one of the most likely places to spot the extremely rare and endangered African wild dog.

Tanzania’s Wildlife

The animal and birds you can spot whilst on safari in Tanzania are second to nowhere else in the world. You can see prides of lion, herds of elephants, packs of hyena and also the ultimate natural migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle – which visits both the Ngorongoro Crater and more so the Serengeti on its route towards the Masai Mara of Kenya.

Tanzanian Landmarks

Lake Victoria borders between Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and has a surface area of around 68,800 Kilometres squared. Not only a place of beauty to visit and look at, you can also take a boating safari trip upon the lake, and there is also the possibility of going on an authentic fishing trip with the local fishermen of the village.
